There are almost as many open positions in the world as there are people without work –– supply and demand don’t match. As an answer to this, Wikimploi enables immediate cooperation between and among individuals and companies: educated, talented Wikimployees are able to find work, projects and partners, and companies are introduced to highly skilled professionals and innovative thinkers. It is these individuals and companies that are they key actors of Wikimploi; the authorities may play an enabling role by providing funding, but Wikimploi operates independently from any government.
The typical Wikimployee has a college or university degree, but lacks work, a space to work in and a work community. Insightful and passionate, they may own a start-up company or work as a freelancer. They may have recently lost their job, or they may be recent graduates. The important thing is that they are willing to think outside the box.
